The DGPs/ÖGP congress 2024 in Vienna will be held at Universität Wien, Universitätsring 1, 1010 Vienna, Austria. Vienna, Austria’s capital, lies in the country’s east on the Danube River. Its artistic and intellectual legacy was shaped by residents including Mozart, Beethoven, and Sigmund Freud. The city is also known for its Imperial palaces, including Schönbrunn, the Habsburgs’ summer residence. Numerous cultural venues of international renown can found around the city center, including the Vienna State Opera, the world famous Burgtheater, and many museums displaying classical, as well as modern art. The Kunsthistorisches Museum, for example, displays works by classical masters, such as Michelangelo and Tizian, and in the MuseumsQuartier district, historic and contemporary buildings display works by Egon Schiele, Gustav Klimt, and other artists.

Founded by Duke Rudolph IV in 1365, the University of Vienna is the oldest university in the German-speaking world, and one of the largest universities of Europe. With about 10.600 employees, of whom 7.500 are scholars and researchers, the University of Vienna is the largest research institution in Austria. Curently, about 84.600 national and international students are inscribed in one of its 186 study programs.
